Leisure team grows in south west

Property adviser GVA Humberts Leisure has announced a new expanded leisure team based out of GVA’s Bristol office. Covering the South West region, Ben Allen and Liz Crawford now join Peter Constantine and Charles Kaminaris.

With over thirty five years’ joint experience in the leisure property industry, Ben brings with him specialist knowledge of the golf clubs market, while Liz specialises in the hotel sector.

GVA Humberts Leisure director Peter Constantine says, “The leisure market here in the South West continues to trade well despite recent pressures experienced by the wider economy. The region fares positively, compared to other areas of the UK, and remains Britain’s most popular tourist destination. Thanks to this, the interest shown by existing operators and those looking to enter the market remains active.”

GVA Humberts Leisure clients include the well-known Cardiff brewer and pub company SA Brain & Co who are actively seeking good quality opportunities to expand its managed pub estate in the South West, as well as finding new high street locations for Coffee#1, the award winning coffee chain acquired by the brewery in 2011. GVA carries out professional advisory and valuation services for SA Brain, which has an estate of around 250 pubs.

Peter continues, “The leisure sector requires a highly specialised skills set, and it’s important that we continue to deliver to our clients the best possible advice in these challenging times. Our focus is on one-to-one service where discretion, in-depth industry knowledge and professionalism bring results.”

GVA Humberts Leisure was formed from the merger of Humberts Leisure with independent property adviser GVA in May 2011.

GVA Humberts Leisure provides specialist property expertise to clients across the UK and overseas with dedicated professional teams working across business sectors. In the South West, the team has specific expertise across pubs and licensed property, golf clubs, hotels, holiday and caravan parks and day visitor attractions.
