Rapidly-expanding recruitment firm Edgar Stewart has extended its Scottish team with the appointment of two new resourcing consultants following a number of new business wins.
The Edinburgh-based consultancy, which specialises in professional services recruitment, has recruited Nick Bolton and Alastair Edwards to join the team at its business incubator and start-up hub in Stockbridge.
Nick, 36, joins the city firm from Orange Grove Foster Care in Shropshire where he fulfilled the role of Placement Officer for more than four years before recently moving to Edinburgh from Stoke-on-Trent.
Prior to his stint at Orange Grove, he was a Service Delivery Consultant at Computer People-Adecco for more than six years, fulfilling a similar resourcing role to his new appointment at Edgar Stewart.
Nick said: “I’m looking forward to getting my feet under the table, learning about the systems and Edgar Stewart’s clients and, ultimately, placing quality candidates.”
Alastair, 26, joins Edgar Stewart from Search Consultancy where he specialised in energy and technology recruitment.
He said: “I’m really excited to be working within a team again and especially one with such an extensive knowledge of the recruitment game.
“It’s only week one but working here offers a completely different dynamic and refreshing approach to what is often considered a cloak and dagger industry.”
The two new appointments follow a number of successful tenders, which include a new five-figure contract to supply recruitment solutions to Stirling-based Cascade Technologies.
