Charterspace opens Trent Business Centre

Charterspace, one of Nottingham’s leading office space providers, has unveiled the latest building in its rapidly growing portfolio, Trent Business Centre in West Bridgford.

The 4,000 sq ft facility is situated in the former Nottingham County Council property on Thoroton Road and offers a variety of different size offices from 2 person pods to 2,000 sq ft suites.

Charterspace’s acquisition was greeted with relief and excitement by local residents, many of whom had feared the site would be converted into flats but Paul Landa, Commercial Development Director explained that it was always Charterspace’s intention to refresh the building and attract new businesses and jobs to the area.

Mr Landa said;

“Charterspace is also responsible for the recent redevelopment of The Landmark, located at Tudor Square in West Bridgford.  Many developers would have sought to create residential accommodation but that is not Charterspace’s business model.  Once our application had been granted by the council we started working to transform this dated building into a state of the art business centre.

“We knew we had to make some serious investment particularly with the communications infrastructure. Modern businesses demand ultra-fast and reliable access to internet as well as a sound telephone network.  No expense could be spared but we have confidence our service users are going to benefit hugely from this capability.  Our hope is that they will also enjoy flexible and convenient workspace and that we will be able to accommodate them as they continue to grow their businesses. As with all our properties one of the key things we focus on is to ensure our buildings are environmentally friendly”

As well as the new Trent Business Centre and The Landmark, Charterspace also operates at The Quadrant, an 18,000 sq. ft. business centre in the heart of Beeston, Clerkson business centre in Mansfield town centre and Concord business centre in New Basford, Nottingham.

Eddi Morris from the Charterspace commercial team explains the philosophy behind the Charterspace approach;

“We operate with a very flexible approach to business premises. Business demand can rise and fall or really accelerate quickly so we have created options to ensure that anyone from a local start-up to an international business seeking a UK presence can base themselves at a Charterspace property.”

“Many of our clients will want to rent space for just six months initially but we can also offer long term leases for anything up to 25 years if required. A business owner can rent the complete building, a floor within a building or even just a small office suite that only takes up part of a floor. Each office benefits from contemporary furnishings, top rate communications (with a lease line into the building) and a video entry system.

“We have already had a range of enquiries for our new space here at Trent Business Centre and with our second building adjacent currently being refurbished (another 3,000 sq ft) ready for the new year, we look forward to acting as a real business hub in West Bridgford.”
