Ascot Drive ‘in vogue’ after brace of property deals

A Derby industrial estate has proved the perfect fit for two new tenants following a brace of property deals completed by Innes England.

The commercial property consultancy has secured lets on two units at Osmaston Park Industrial Estate to the south of the city, acting solely on the letting of 1 Ascot Drive and in conjunction with Birmingham-based agent GVA Grimley on the letting of a 22,000 sq ft unit on Dunstall Park Road, situated just off Ascot Drive.

Fashion outlet store Bella Dame has taken a 13,500 sq ft unit on Ascot Drive, a busy thoroughfare and main estate road through Osmaston Park Industrial Estate, which was comprehensively refurbished before the store opened to customers in September.

The Plumb Centre in Dunstan Park Road has also been sub-let on behalf of Wolseley to Guardian Building Products. This unit totalled approximately 22,000 sq ft. The company specialises in wholesale of construction materials and associated products.

Stuart Waite, associate director at Innes England in Derby, said: “These are two sizeable deals on a well-established industrial estate which has, over recent years, transformed itself into a popular trade and retail location to the south of the city, and we are very pleased to have agreed terms on both units.

“While still an excellent location for industrial and logistics operators, Ascot Drive and its surrounds are now home to a number of national trade counter and retail warehouse operators who benefit from the busy nature of the road, which provides a link between London Road and Osmaston Road – two major arterial routes in the city centre. There are a number of big names here including B&M Stores, Dunelm and Go Outdoors, so it was the perfect fit for both Bella Dame and Guardian Building Products.”

Osmaston Park Industrial Estate benefits from an excellent location, with access to Pride Park, the A52, the Derby Outer Ring Road and the A50.
