Sherlock investigates Eastern Business Park

The award winning BBC Sherlock series which burst onto our TV screens with the first 3 episodes last year to great acclaim, is currently filming a second series & Eastern Business Park in St Mellons has been selected as a filming location venue.
 
Starring Benedict Cumberbatch  & Martin Freeman, the adaptation is a thrilling, fast-paced update of Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic detective, set in present-day London.In a unique adaptation, the iconic details from Conan Doyle’s original books remain. They live at the same address, are only interested in the bizarre and, somewhere out there, Moriarty is waiting for them.
 
Huw Thomas,of Commercial Property Consultancy, joint letting agent for owners Eastern Business Park Ltd(a subsidiary of Robert Hitchins) alongside Jones Lang LaSalle,explained ‘We were approached by Hartswood a month ago looking for a building that could be made to resemble Scotland Yard & the timing was right as the property is currently undergoing a major refurbishment.Filming continues in July & August & we are due to hold a launch at the property in September to showcase the improvements that have taken place’.

Sherlock is co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss and produced by Sue Vertue.Written by Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss and Steve Thompson & directed by Paul McGuigan and Toby Haynes, Sherlock also stars Rupert Graves as Detective Inspector Lestrade, and Una Stubbs as Mrs Hudson, their long-suffering housekeeper.Sherlock is a Hartswood Films production for BBC Wales.

Tenants at Eastern Business Park include Scottish & Southern Energy, Taylor Wimpey, J D Hull, IPCC, Avaya, E-on UK, Adtrader, Guide Dogs for the Blind & Laing O’Rourke but further space is available in small suites from 1000ft upwards to whole wings of 10,000ft+.On site facilities include fitness suite, restaurant, creche & conference centre.
