XYZ Building, Spinningfields reaches capacity 12 months ahead of completion

Allied London’s XYZ Building, which has been created to generate new ways of thinking about the work place, has been inundated with interest and is now fully let 12 months prior to completion.

Offering a workspace that fosters an inclusive business culture, flexible environment and full programme of events, XYZ, Spinningfields is aimed deliberately at defining a new asset class of workspace.

Set in the heart of one of Europe’s leading business districts, Allied London’s Spinningfields, XYZ is already surrounded by a wide range of thriving bars, restaurants and independent cafes and street food traders, providing a buzzing atmosphere for its resident workers.

XYZ will pioneer the next phase of Spinningfields’ evolution by bringing with it an innovative restaurant, independent café, concierge facilities and permanent events space including cinema screening room and co-work space.

Allied London’s Chief Executive, Michael Ingall, said; “The idea is to create a place that sets the foundations for a new working culture. We will retain around 25% of the XYZ building for amenity space and will continue to maintain this so that employees look forward to going to work in a place that is engaging and dynamic.”

Global Radio, Shoosmiths and NCC have all confirmed their commitment to XYZ’s new workspace offering and will collectively take over 110,000 sq. ft. of space.

There will be an opportunity for smaller, enterprising businesses to sit alongside the larger names in XYZ Work, which will be on the first floor and encompass small suites and co-work space. Having previously only been accessible to a more corporate audience, XYZ Work will provide a platform for small businesses to make their home at Spinningfields.

The end result will be a vibrant and stimulating working eco-system which will bring together people of diverse creative, TMT and professional communities all together under one roof.

Michael Ingall, Chief Executive of Allied London, said: “It was the strength of this concept that has attracted so much interest at such an early stage and ensured that XYZ is already the most sought after business address in the city. The XYZ concept has been refined and perfected to ensure that the XYZ offering embodies the very best in global work space practices. We are delighted to have three such innovative companies on board, this will be a new asset class.”

Allied London will deliver the XYZ building, in collaboration with their established platforms, Hello Work and Capital Properties.
