Bilfinger GVA’s Sian Jones makes the shortlist for RICS Young Surveyor of the Year

Sian Jones from Bristol is one of six talented property professionals from leading commercial property adviser, Bilfinger GVA, who have made the shortlist for the prestigious RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards 2015.

The annual awards recognise those excelling within their surveying profession and reward inspirational role models and ambassadors in the land, property and construction sectors.

Of the 12 awards categories, Bilfinger GVA has finalists in the following:
·         Building Surveying: Sian Jones, Bristol and Jordan Smith, Birmingham
·         Commercial Agency: Chris Strong, London
·         Property Management: Jack Sears, Birmingham
·         Public Sector/Academia: Jonathan Lowe, Liverpool
·         Valuation: James Walters, Birmingham

Speaking on the announced shortlist, John Baker, RICS Matrics Chairman said: “With an increased number of entries for the Young Surveyor of the Year Awards, the shortlisting exercise was always going to be a challenge; however no-one expected such a consistently high standard throughout all categories; a testimony to the young talent within the profession.”

The awards will be judged against key criteria:

The winners will be announced at a black tie ceremony on 19 November 2015 at the Lancaster Hotel, London and will be hosted by Comedian Gary Delaney, regular guest of Mock the Week and writer for 8 Out Of 10 Cats.
