Pret a Manger open first store in Salisbury

Pret A Manger opened its doors to its latest outlet as part of its growing coverage nationwide in Salisbury on Friday 4 September to great success.

This is Pret’s first store to open in the historic city of Salisbury after acquiring a new 15 year lease on the former Next store from Welbeck Investment Management.

The store is arguably located in one of the most prominent units in the City being positioned at the entrance to Old George Mall, with a return frontage onto New Canal on the City’s best pedestrianised section. Nearby retailers include Marks & Spencer, BHS, H & M, Top Shop, Schuh and Boots.

The new store provides seating for over 100 customers, plus room for external seating and extends to 3,523 sq ft on ground and first floor level. The store will incorporate a kitchen from which Pret’s will produce their full range of handmade fresh food.

Pret A Manger opened their first store in 1986 and now have over 350 stores worldwide.

Andrew Bradley of acquiring agents, Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP said: “Pret’s have had a requirement for Salisbury for a long time but were determined to find the right premises in the right location and 31 New Canal Road ticked all the boxes. Pret’s continue to expand offering good quality natural food which will complement the food offer in the City.”

Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP advised Pret a Manger and Savills advised Welbeck Investment Management.
