Notts manufacturer gets private equity investment

The Transaction Services team at BDO LLP has advised private equity house Maven Capital on its investment in Nottingham based trackball manufacturer Cursor Controls Limited.

Cursor offers the most comprehensive range of trackballs across the globe and is the only independent company focusing solely on trackballs, with over 1200 variants in its product portfolio.

The funding from Maven Capital is aimed to accelerate growth of Cursor via the continuation of leading edge trackball development, while utilising the existing patent protected IP which the company holds.

Neale Sutton, managing director at Cursor will remain in the business.

Led by partner Malcom Cook, Vinny Patel and Robert Dawes from BDO provided financial and tax due diligence to Maven Capital ahead of its investment.
