Balfour Beatty Rail arrives at Alaska House in Atlantic Park, Liverpool

Acting on behalf of Royal London Asset Management, CBRE’s Liverpool Office Agency team has secured a letting to leading rail infrastructure supplier, Balfour Beatty Rail, at Alaska House in Atlantic Park, Liverpool. Matthews & Goodman represented Balfour Beatty Rail.

Balfour Beatty Rail has signed a 10 year lease for 14,506 sq ft of offices to include the whole second floor and part of the first floor of the Grade A Alaska House building within the 52 acre Atlantic Park mixed use business park which fronts Dunnings Bridge Road in the Sefton area of Liverpool.

Balfour Beatty Rail is one of the leading rail infrastructure suppliers in the UK, providing multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure services across the lifecycle of rail assets. The company’s expertise cover electrification, track, power, signaling, civils, specialist rail plant, railway systems and technologies.

This latest letting follows on from Turtle Wax’s recent establishment of their EMEA Headquarters at Alaska House. Atlantic Park has attracted a number of additional high-profile occupiers such as Capita and One Vision Housing due to its strategic location near to the Port of Liverpool, with connectivity to all major motorway networks via the M57 and M58 motorways as well being only 20 minutes by car from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

Neil Kirkham, Associate Director of Office Agency at CBRE’s Liverpool office, commented; “Atlantic Park is situated in an excellent location in the North West and continues to prove to be an attractive proposition for companies seeking Grade A offices within an established and successful commercial area.”

Gareth Dickinson, Head of Property at Royal London Asset Management, said; “To have secured such reputable occupiers as Balfour Beatty Rail and Turtle Wax’s EMEA HQ operation within a matter of months is an excellent result for Alaska House and is testament to the building’s quality accommodation and strategic location. We are delighted to welcome the business to our tenant mix.”

David Colvin at Matthews & Goodman in Liverpool added; “The accessibility, prominence and general quality of Atlantic Park all proved to be an excellent match with our client’s requirements and we are pleased to have successfully assisted them with their search in the North West.”

CBRE is joint agent with GVA on Atlantic Park.
