Berry Recruitment Group held its annual awards ceremony at London’s Waldorf Hilton hotel to mark another year of strong growth.

More than 150 consultants from 30 branches attended the glittering event at which Chairman Tony Berry congratulated the whole group and set out ambitious plans for the future.

All the group’s divisions were represented including Berry Recruitment, Wild Recruitment, The Plus Team, Express Rail, Headway Recruitment and Antony Berry Associates.

The group’s turnover rose to a touch under £50m for the last year following several acquisitions and organic growth.

Group Managing Director Chris Chown also addressed the attendees and welcomed staff from agencies that Berry has recently acquired.

The ceremony saw the Berry Recruitment Ilford branch pick up the ‘Highest Growth’ award, Wild Recruitment in Portsmouth was the ‘Most Profitable’ branch and Hendon won the ‘Net Profit per Head’ title.

Dozens of staff picked up individual awards and among the big winners was Justine Duffin from Wild Recruitment who was ‘top biller’ for 2014.

Other notable recipients were Kayleigh Clifton from the Stafford branch who won an Outstanding Achievement award, as did Sam King from Gosport, Jess Coombes from Southampton, Marika Stephenson from Exeter and Steve Evans from Sutton.

Wild Recruitment’s Kate Foley who works in the Poole branch picked up a ‘Board Recognition’ award as did Annabelle Howkins from Warrington and Rebecca Blood from Stafford.

The consultant who won the  ‘Most Client Visits’ award was Michelle Pedley from the Southampton branch, and Alex Morris from Godalming was ‘Perms Consultant’ of the year.

Afterwards Chairman Tony Berry said: “The Group grew strongly through 2014 and has continued to do so this year.

“Our acquisitions have proven to be extremely successful and our staff have worked incredibly hard.

“It was a pleasure to hand out the awards and congratulate the winners in person.

“As ever, we had a number of long service awards to present which is an encouraging sign that our staff are happy.

“Handing out several ‘Rookie of the Year’ awards was a pleasure and I hope I’ll be handing those recipients awards for many years to come.

“We aim to increase turnover to £56m this year and with the talented and hard-working staff we have I’m sure we’ll reach that target.”
