Finzels Reach’s Bridgewater House snaps up BDO as its first tenant

HDG Mansur has signed-up accountants and business advisers BDO as its first occupier for Bridgewater House, a 110,000 sq ft grade A office building, at its £255 million mixed-use Finzels Reach scheme located in the heart of Bristol’s city centre.

BDO will take 8,707 sq ft on the fifth floor. The move stems from BDO’s existing lease expiring and their desire to move to larger offices that reflect the company’s ethos for growth and exceptional client service. Occupancy is expected to take place in June 2012 with the firm moving from its current location in Victoria Street, Bristol. Knight Frank, Bristol, acted for HDG Mansur and Savills acted for BDO.

Michael Baker, Senior Managing Director and head of development, Europe, HDG Mansur, said: “We are delighted to secure such a prestigious occupier for Bridgewater House at a rental level showing the healthy market for grade A office space in the Bristol area. The deal also demonstrates that we have the right product to match the rigorous requirements of sector leading companies like BDO.”

BDO’s Julian Frost commented on the move, saying:  “We are excited about the move to Bridgewater House.  We have experienced significant growth over the last two years and needed new offices to reflect our ambition.  Our investment reinforces our committed to the region, our client base and Bristol’s dynamic business community”.
