NewLaw Solicitors, the leading UK law firm headquartered in Cardiff, has appointed Darren Pardon to the role of commercial director.
The role will involve supporting business development activities, helping to bring new partners onboard as well as overseeing the supply chain management. As commercial director, an integral part of Darren’s role will be to manage new and existing relationships with key clients.
Darren, 45, originally from Norwich, has recently relocated to Wales to accept the role. With more than 17 years’ experience, Darren joins NewLaw following a successful six years at insurance broker BGL Group, where he had the role of associate director for their supply chain and then took over the management of their external partner relations.
Prior to this, Darren spent 12 years at Aviva spending the last six years managing their legal supply chain.
Darren is a qualified Member of the Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply and also on the advisory board for I Love Claims; Darren is a key player in the insurance industry.
On his appointment Darren said: “I’ve been working in the claims industry for a long time and I’m looking forward to using my previous experience at large insurance companies and in supply chain management, to expand NewLaw’s client network focusing on alternative business structures (ABS).
“Since the changes to personal injury laws, the rise in ABS has opened a lot of doors for law firms that require supplementary management. My role will be to extend the high level of service NewLaw currently delivers through internal and external partners.”
