City of Newport Business Club are pleased to announce their next lunchtime speaker on Tuesday 21st April will be Andy McCann, the UK’s most in demand sports psychologist and Performance Coach.
Andy is an adviser, mentor and performance coach to high performing people from many walks of life, including some of the UK’s highest profile individuals. He also has expertise in the development of mental toughness and performance and helps a wide range of individuals, teams and industries achieve engagement and success.
With his colleague, ‘BBC Business Doctor’ Dr Paul Thomas, they co- founded DNA Definitive, to deliver the finest leadership development programmes that achieves results through trust, passion, communication and risk.
His private sector experience spans Financial Services, Manufacturing and Professional Services, whilst his public sector experience includes Health, Education and Local Authorities.
In addition, Andy sits on the Sport Wales Advisory Group and the Welsh Advisory Committee for the Stroke Association. His work has been described as ‘cutting edge’ (Daily Telegraph) and he is regularly featured in the national press and on TV and radio. Andy has an interest in the development of resilience, mental toughness and the psychology of high performance.
A popular conference speaker, Andy has spoken at various national business events where his accessible style draws from an expertise including over 25 years combined experience of education, business, psychophysiology and elite sports performance.
The ticketed event, which is open to all business people, takes place at the Holiday Inn, Newport on Tuesday 21 April 2015 at 12 Noon.
