£150m Dursley scheme on track to complete in 2018

St. Modwen has recently finalised the detail of the remaining phases of development at Littlecombe, as this £150m mixed use scheme gears up for completion in 2018.

Ben Cook, Residential Land Director for St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, explains:
“We’ve made great progress at Littlecombe, with much of the site already established and underway. The first two phases of housing are nearing completion, with almost 200 new homes now delivered. Littlecombe Business Park boasts 16 fully occupied commercial units together with three anchor tenants within the site’s refurbished office building, Drake House.  The site also benefits from a new hospital – Vale Community Hospital as well as acres of green open space for that rural feel.

“As we move towards the final phases of development, we have recently reviewed and refreshed the details for the remaining 7.75 acres of developable land.  We have submitted a new outline planning application for the remainder of the development to encapsulate the route of the river corridor, shift in mix and intensity of housing and new road layout through the development.  This final phase will comprise of approximately an additional 258 homes and apartments and a further 65,000 sq ft of employment space – surrounded by green open space to finish off the site’s rural setting.”

On completion in 2018, this £150m development will provide 92 acres mixed-use facilities comprising of a total of around 450 new homes and apartments; 200,000 sq ft of employment space, within easy reach of the M5 and job creation potential of 1,000 new roles; a community hospital and around 40 acres of green open space where people can live, work and relax for generations to come.
