Trebor/Hortons’ development at Cannock Gateway takes shape

Trebor Developments and Hortons’ Estate’s prestigious Retail Park at Cannock Gateway scheme, adjacent to the M6 Toll Road, is taking shape following the completion of steelwork erection.  The full list of pre-let tenants for the scheme include TK Maxx, Sofaworks, Burger King and Costa Coffee, who have all announced opening dates for summer 2015.

The development joint venture of Trebor and Hortons’ have spent many months undertaking  ground preparation works given the site conditions, including driving over 340 piles in order to bring forward the development of the site. The project is on time and on budget and is due for handover to tenants in June 2015.  Construction is being undertaken by Clugston Construction.

Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner for Trebor Developments, on behalf of the joint venture commented:-

‘It has taken many months of hard work in the ground to remediate the site sufficiently to allow us to now complete the retail and drive through units.  Following the erection of the steelwork the full prominence of this site and units can now be seen.  Substantial off-site highway works have also been completed, in conjunction with the Highways Authority, which has resulted in much improved traffic flows around the site from the A5 and M6 Toll.  We are delighted with progress to date and look forward to completing and opening the scheme in the summer’.
