New service launched for Scottish construction industry

The UK’s leading sealant company, which has a well-established branch in Glasgow, is launching its latest service to the Scottish construction industry.

SD Sealants & Cosmetic Repair added property cosmetic repair to its portfolio of services after identifying an opportunity within the industry for a company offering services for the final stages of construction.

Property cosmetic repair is the repair of surfaces and items that have been damaged during the construction process.

The investment has already created new employment opportunities in the business, with five new staff appointed in Glasgow to oversee the day-to-day running of the service.

Davie Graham. Contracts Manager for SD Sealants & Cosmetic Repair in Scotland, said: “This addition to our offering makes a lot of sense as our sealant team are often the last on site before the cosmetic repairers come in and do their thing. By combining these two offerings it makes life easier for construction companies who can come to us for both services.

“We wanted to get everything in place before launching this service to the market and we’re confident that we have the right staff and credentials to make sure that we offer the same high quality and top level of customer service for cosmetic repairs that we do for mastics.”

With a network of offices across the UK, SD offers true national coverage by using a group of local sealant operatives to carry out specific projects.

SD regularly works with a wide variety of well-known construction companies including BAM, Balfour Beatty, Willmott Dixon, Mace, Sir Robert McAlpine and Morgan Sindall.
