A Cardiff-based telemarketing company has announced a major expansion with the creation of 80 new jobs and a move to new premises.
PS Group has hired the telemarketers to work in the company’s new data correction department, as well as its existing product sales unit.
Founded by Wayne Phillips in 2010, the company provides various channels to directly target customers, selling third party products, as well as its own.
Last year, the company generated 110,000 customers for their own products and are looking to reach 150,000 in 2015.
The company has moved to its current base at Capital Business Park from its former home at Springmeadow Business Park in the east of the city.
Staff have taken a hands-on approach to converting the old warehouse premises into a fully functioning call centre in a £300,000 revamp.
Staff have been involved in all aspects of the conversion, including the design of the space through to the decoration and furnishing.
Wayne said: “We have seen the company go from strength to strength in recent years, and the recruitment of 80 new members of staff is a huge step for us.
“To think that we started with a team of four just five years ago, and now have 148 members of staff is incredible. Our Operations Director was one of those four people and has risen up through the ranks.
“As staff were actively involved in creating our new workspace they take a lot of pride and ownership in the company.
