Castleford industrial lettings complete

Acting on behalf of Dale Estates, the Industrial Agency team at CBRE in Leeds has completed two industrial deals at Link 31 in Castleford totaling 17,600 sq ft.

Units C5/C6 comprising 12,600 sq ft have been leased to DIY chain Howdens Joinery on a 15 year term. Additionally, the 5,047 sq ft Unit 5 has been leased to Edmundson Electrical on a 10 year lease.

Howdens Joinery supplies kitchens and joinery for the construction trade. It was reported last year that the FTSE 250 business, which has 576 UK depots, had reported a leap in group revenues to £435.4m in the 24 weeks to 14th June 2014 with increased profits leading to the opening of an additional 17 depots since January last year.

Edmundson Electrical supply products from more than 250 locations across the UK and have a wide customer base comprising of electrical contractors and engineers, industrial companies, facilities management, government agencies, local authorities, power generation, utilities, food industries, hotels/leisure and retail to name but a few.

Links 31 is located in the Whitwood area of Castleford, West Yorkshire with direct access to J31 of the M62 motorway. The established industrial location is popular with occupiers seeking quality accommodation with good accessibility to all the major motorway networks.

Associate Director of Industrial Agency at CBRE, Dave Cato, explains;

“The lettings to Howdens and Edmundson Electrical demonstrate the appeal of Links 31 as an industrial location and shows that West Yorkshire is on the map for companies looking to expand their operations. This shows how occupiers are keen to secure high quality industrial stock as regional supply is dwindling.”
