An award-winning Welsh law firm has announced the appointment of two new partners as part of its ambitious growth plans.
Watkins & Gunn Solicitors, which has offices in Newport, Pontypool and Cardiff, has promoted Lisa Guscott and Lindsay Tasker to partners of the firm.
Lisa Guscott, a personal injury and employment law specialist, joined Watkins & Gunn in 2003 after working at the firm during her studies.
A member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and also individually accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, Lisa has been highlighted as a rising star in the Chambers and Partners, one of the leading guides to the legal profession, due to her work as a personal injury lawyer. She also has expertise in employment law matters.
Since joining the firm in 2008, Lindsay Tasker has built up extensive experience in all areas of family law, particularly acting for victims of domestic abuse, including Children Act proceedings. As an accredited police station duty solicitor, she has a close working knowledge of the criminal justice system.
Most recently, Lindsay was appointed to the prestigious Law Society’s Children Panel, which means she is now a certified Children’s Representative and can act for children through court appointed guardians in all care proceedings and complex family law cases.
As partners, both Lisa and Lindsay will now be looking to grow the firm and continue its success. They will also be responsible for promoting the use of Watkins & Gunn’s new e-commerce legal platform www.gateway2law.co.uk, a website that provides personalised solutions to a variety of legal matters including conveyancing, personal injury (at home or abroad), divorce, family disputes, wills and probate, employment law and clinical negligence.
