Christmas came to the City of Newport Business Club on Thursday 4th December in the form of Newport City Church Gospel Choir who enthralled the audience with modern takes on Christmas classics including O Come all Ye Faithful and Silent Night.
Those present couldn’t help but be infected by the Christmas spirit and with a bit of encouragement from choir leader, Pastor Robbie Howells, it wasn’t long before feet started to tap and fingers to click.
Only a couple of songs later the festive spirit took a hold and the crowd were on their feet and joining in with the choir.
Food was provided courtesy of the fabulous team at the Holiday Inn who came up trumps with Turkey and all the trimmings, Figgy Pudding and Christmas crackers.
This was a fabulous evening full of Christmas cheer and provided a fitting finale to the 2014 series of City of Newport Business Club events.
2015 starts with Welsh Weatherman Derek Brockway who will be visiting the club on Thursday 5th February, so book early to avoid disappointment.
