Saracen strengthens its commitment to the North

Saracen Interiors has signalled its commitment to putting down roots in the northern part of the country by appointing a dedicated business development manager for the North as well as a regional contracts director.

Since opening the office in Wetherby earlier this year, the South East fit out expert has identified the potential to grow its client base in the North and has added to its team accordingly in a bid to manage further expansion.

Regional contracts director, Colin Roe was initially introduced to help launch Saracen’s Wetherby office and has since overseen all projects run by the company in the area, including jobs in Leeds, York, Derby and Peterborough. An experienced contracts director with an indepth working knowledge of Yorkshire and its surrounding areas, Colin is also driving sales in the region.

Heather Miller joins the team as a business development manager covering the North of the country. She is tasked with identifying further new business opportunities and building relationships with clients in the North.

Saracen demonstrated its appetite for expansion last year with the launch of three new divisions – Saracen Facilities, Saracen Small Works and Saracen Move Management. A prominent player in the South East, renowned for its consultancy and design expertise, the company has been keen to ascertain that it can and does offer a fuller service offering besides the fit out projects for which it is known.

With the new divisions now established, Saracen is now ready to roll out its business plan and build a reputation across a wider area.  Joint managing director of Saracen Interiors, Michael Page explains: “We were initially propelled into opening  a northern office in order to meet the needs of one of our long-term clients in the South – a leading global environmental services provider who required our fit out services across key locations in the North. As a trusted partner, the client felt more comfortable bringing our team to the North, safe in the knowledge that work would be carried out to a high standard whilst avoiding the pitfalls of breaking in a new team. We took this opportunity to test the waters and see if a new office might be feasible and it was and is. We’re delighted to be here and now, with a solid team in place, we’re looking to build on our success.”

Saracen recently won a prestigious AIS (Association of Interior Specialists) award for its refurbishment of Royalty House, the old Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust  building on King Street, Watford. Its recent clients include Yum Restaurants International, Paragon Community Housing Group, TE Connectivity, Aspect Property Group, Flight Safety, CH2M Hill, Countrywide PLC, Knight Frank, Mitie Engineering, Pizza Hut, Redrow, Soccer World, Thames Water, Toshiba, Trident Trust, Viatel, BAE Systems, Sue Ryder Care, Sandhurst School, North Surrey Primary Care Trust, Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospital NHS Trust.
