Bond Wolfe aids Aid’s expansion plans

Black Country property agents Bond Wolfe have cut a deal with Bad Apple Hair.

The transaction sees Tudor House in Walsall fully let – the complex was acquired by REI plc last year.

Birmingham-based salon Bad Apple Hair, founded by top crimper Aid Tams, is on the expansion trail – it already has an outlet in Sutton Coldfield and is also looking to move into Solihull.

The business has taken a ten year lease on the Tudor House unit at 14-16 Bridge Street which had lain empty for two years.

Bond Wolfe identified Bad Apple Hair within two weeks of marketing and now the letting has been completed.

Managing partner James Mattin said: “We are delighted to conclude this letting to such a forward thinking, progressive outfit like Bad Apple. It now means Tudor House is 100 per cent let and we have again demonstrated that our hands-on approach to letting retail space produces results. This unit sat empty for a considerable length of time before we took it on and we had it under offer immediately.”

Other tenants include betting and gaming group Ladbrokes and estate agents Countrywide.

The location’s close proximity to the new Primark development is set to make it particularly attractive.

Primark and the Co-op are the anchor tenants of the multi-million redevelopment of Old Square Shopping Centre. The project is due to be completed in spring 2015.
