Nottingham BID responds to the planned developments of Nottingham Castle

Nottingham Castle has won its Heritage Lottery Fund bid. Plans to turn the Castle into a “world class visitor attraction” have been earmarked £12.9m of lottery funding.

Jeff Allen, Chairman of Nottingham Business Improvement District said:

“We’re delighted that the initial bid made to the Heritage Lottery Fund for proposed developments of the castle has been successful. It means that the city is an important step closer to transforming this significant landmark. Once complete it will help to attract more visitors to the city, which is great news for Nottingham and for our members – retail and leisure businesses in the city centre – who should be able to reap the benefits for their businesses.”
