Somerset’s Impey Showers has a new Group Managing Director

Impey Showers, one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of shower, bath and wetroom products and services, has appointed John Blackburn as its new Group Managing Director.

John, who was previously the General Manager of Twyford Bathrooms in the UK and Ireland for 16 years, takes over from Peter Dimeloe, who has now retired.

His new role will include overseeing one of Coram’s leading businesses, Ilton-based Impey Showers as well as Coram Showers, Coram Shower Pods and Geesa.

Mark Kooij, CEO of the International Coram Group, said: “After a rigorous selection process, John emerged as the outstanding candidate to be the Group Managing Director of The Coram Group in the UK. His experience with Twyford includes invaluable business and commercial acumen and an unrivalled understanding of the merchant, specifier and retail sectors. We are confident that he will build on the brand loyalty associated with Coram Group companies and products that has seen the organisation flourish through the economic downturn.”

One of The Coram Group’s most successful businesses is Impey Showers which operates in both the healthcare and retail markets. With a rapidly ageing population and the need for independent living, John has a particular focus on further boosting Impey’s healthcare business.

Commenting on his appointment, John Blackburn says: “I am impressed and motivated by the potential of The Coram Group in the UK, its various brands and the international group.

“Impey Showers has an excellent team with a real passion for the company and the products it designs, manufactures and markets. I will work with Impey’s research and development teams to develop further innovative healthcare products and services that aid independent living and to build on the overall success of Impey.

“We’ve recently acquired a number of highly successful business development team members and Impey is now geared up for a new stage of growth and development in the health and care sectors.”
