GVA has secured the sale of the former Dock Office building in Salford Quays on behalf of LPA Receivers (Roger Phillips and Edward Dry of GVA).
LiveMan Properties, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) set up solely for the acquisition of this building by a consortium of private investors, has bought the Dock Office for a sum of £2.6m.
Situated on a 1.56 acre site in Salford Quays, the 61,249 sq ft Art Deco-style building is located on Trafford Road close to Media City, the Lowry Outlet Mall and Lowry Theatre, and is well-connected to Manchester city centre via road and Metrolink.
On the sale, Gareth Conroy, Associate for GVA, commented: “Currently providing office accommodation over four floors and basement, the Grade II-listed property boasts redevelopment potential for a variety of uses. The site also benefits from a large parcel of land adjacent to the site which could offer additional parking facilities for the occupier or, alternatively, further development opportunities.”
