DTZ drives TIP Europe Ltd in to 65,000 sq ft industrial unit in Liverpool

Acting on behalf of VOSA, DTZ has let a 65,000 sq ft bespoke MOT and vehicle testing facility in Kirkby, Liverpool to TIP Trailer Services.

TIP Trailer Services UK Ltd has purchased the facility in order to expand their current operation situated at North Liverpool Docks to cater for their existing client base as well as allowing growth within their specialist sector.

TIP Trailer Services is a fully integrated rental, lease, maintenance and asset management company.

Paul Crosby, European Property Leader, TIP Trailer Services comments: “In addition to our traditional rental products we’ve invested heavily to strengthen our maintenance infrastructure and now offer total trailer solutions from fixed cost Contract Maintenance to Pay-as-you-Go repairs, breakdowns and servicing – all providing total peace of mind. This site at Simonswood, Nr Kirkby is a TIP branch depot providing comprehensive trailer and vehicle maintenance services, ATF/MOT testing, shot blast facilities and paint booths for trailers and small vehicles. We have plans to operate as a full trailer rental site later this year. This site and DTZ provided us with an ideal location to be able to do this.”

Phil Morley, Associate Director, National Industrial and Logistics at DTZ said: “DTZ generated strong interest in the facility in recent months from a variety of companies who wanted to put the bespoke site to good use to suit their operations. Three companies in particular expressed strong interest and put forward serious offers due to the uniqueness of the facility which offers HGV testing bays, fitted offices and a substantial concrete hard standing area totalling three acres.

“This transaction again highlights how companies in the north west are looking to expand and that demand continues to grow steadily for available existing facilities. Good quality stock in prime locations is becoming more difficult to acquire due to the lack of supply, especially within some size ranges, which again is assisting in the hardening of values, incentives and yields for industrial premises.”
