Video production company rebrands to aid expansion

A Cardiff-based video production company has rebranded as it sets its sights on expansion.

Lloyd Morgan Productions has changed its name to rockadove and introduced a new visual identity, website and marketing collateral to reflect the company’s growth plans and offering.

The company, which is entering its fifth year and has a second office in Bournemouth, was set up by young entrepreneur Lloyd Morgan after studying video production at the University of Gloucestershire.

Working with clients including Tesco, NHS, Barclays, Traveline Cymru and Leadership & Management Wales, the company has had corporate videos being used as far as China, trade show videos throughout America and videos being broadcasted internationally.

Lloyd said: “When I first set up the company the name was appropriate but as we’ve grown and got more staff, I feel that using my name suggests that we’re still a one man band. Given that what we do is so creative, I also didn’t think that our branding reflected our offering and approach.

“A ‘Rock Dove’ was the type of bird used as a carrier pigeon, getting a message across, no matter what. That is exactly what we do for our clients using video. I’m really pleased with the new branding. Spindogs has done an excellent job.”

The rebrand comes at a time of expansion for the company as it looks to add to its headcount to accommodate new projects.

Lloyd continued: “Nearly every website you visit has a video displayed in some form and companies are realising the benefits of using online video as part of their marketing strategies to propel their business forward. There’s a huge opportunity for us to capitalise on this growing market, so it’s a really exciting time for the company.”
