Investors snap up Bingham development site

Property consultants Bruton Knowles have sold a development site in Bingham, Nottingham, for an undisclosed sum.

The 0.65 acre (0.25 hectare) site on Chapel Lane, adjacent to the railway crossing, has been acquired by private investors.

The site, which also sits opposite the proposed new Tesco store, was previously occupied by a vehicle repair firm but has been empty for the last five months.

Sam Spencer, associate in the agency team at Bruton Knowles in Nottingham, acted on behalf of the mortgagees.

He said: “We received a lot of interest in the site given its prominent location on a busy road and its potential for future development, subject to planning. The price we achieved, which was well in excess of the £175,000 asking price, reflects the demand for the property.

“A positive outcome was achieved for all parties and it’s good to see that this vacant site will be brought back into use.”
