Local firm continues to grow

Vickery Holman property consultants are another indication of the improvement in the economy employing more staff now than they did at the top of the market in 2008.

The latest Vickery Holman appointment is Nick Corker BSC (Hons.) MRICS, who will be joining Nick Holman’s Professional Services team. He will be based in the Truro office working alongside team member Nicola Murrish but have responsibility as Head of Landlord & Tenant across the firm.

Nick joins Vickery Holman at the beginning of May from the Bristol office of GVA the UK’s largest independent commercial property consultant. Having been operating throughout the West Country for a number of years he is already familiar with market conditions throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Relocating his young family to the Duchy just in time for the summer Nick comments “It has been a long term goal to bring the family down to Cornwall but to find such an exciting opportunity with such a well-established firm was perfect. I am not sure how much time I will have to enjoy the sun”.

Nick Holman comments:-

” As our workload increases employing specialists like Nick, in core areas of our business is vitally important in providing the best service to our clients. Nick joining also provides me with the opportunity to develop further my dispute resolution role including appointments as arbitrator, independent expert and expert witness. Mark Pellow, Managing Director of Vickery Holman comments:-

“Our position as the largest firm of independent property consultants based in Devon & Cornwall has been built on providing expertise locally a strategy which has served us well since 1846 and Nick’s appointment is a perfect fit. The company has seen an increase in its staffing levels during the recession which has enabled us to emerge with a larger market share the challenge now is to build on this success.”
