The Welsh Government will be hosting an event next month to help Welsh businesses develop and grow their exports.
International Trade Day Wales 2013 will take place on 13 November at the Vale Resort in South Wales. This is part of the UK-wide Export Week which will run from 11-15 November.
The event will have three main components:
Exhibition. A range of organisations and experts will be available to advise on many issues relating to international trade. They will be arranged into six different zones covering finance, logistics, legal, IP, training and international trade networks.
Trade development workshops delivered by subject experts will be held throughout the day, focussing on the most common issues relating to international trade.
Round table discussions, facilitated by overseas market experts, on opportunities in international markets, barriers to trading and identifying appropriate routes to those markets.
The event is open to over 250 small and medium size enterprises, based in Wales, who are either exporting or are looking to trade internationally.

Economy Minister, Edwina Hart, said: “Wales has a good story to tell about exports at the moment, with the value of exports from Wales this quarter at their highest level since 2011. We want to build on that by supporting Welsh businesses at all stages of their efforts to increase exports. As well as providing advice and support, we have a comprehensive programme of overseas trade missions and exhibitions, where we are promoting Welsh businesses to markets such as Qatar, China, India, Germany, Russia, Brazil and the USA.
This event is an excellent opportunity for Welsh businesses, looking to start exporting or expand their international activity, to get advice and find out what support is available to them.”
