Meet the team behind Derby’s £100m Castleward project

As Derby’s £100m redevelopment project begins to transform the city, local people and visitors are being encouraged to come and meet the team behind the regeneration of Castleward.

Regeneration specialists, Compendium Living, have opened the new Castleward Project Office on Canal Street, so that people can meet the team behind the project as building work begins to take shape.

Compendium Living’s Neil Walker (Project Manager), Richard Plowman (Senior Site Manager), Andy Berwick (Contracts Manager) and Dan Buller (Quantity Surveyor) have all moved into the new project office on site.

Behind the scenes, Regional Sales Manager, Colette Armstrong, and Field Sales Manager, Dinah Stephenson, will be working on creating Castleward’s new homes, while and Sales Adviser Lynn Korczak will be based at Bagshaws Estate Agents, on Cornmarket, from 28th October to take the first reservations.

Neil Walker, Project Manager at Compendium Living, comments: “We have recently opened a dedicated project office in the heart of Castleward and are inviting people to visit us to find out more about the changes that will be taking place here in the heart of Derby.

“This is Derby’s most exciting residential development project in decades and as work is now well underway on site we want to keep the public informed of how Castleward is progressing.

“We are building a new neighbourhood in Derby, bringing back housing to an area where people lived for many years, which is why it is so important to us to engage with the public and invite them to come and find out more about the changes taking place within their city.

“So far the feedback we have had on our plans for Castleward has been very positive, people are very pleased because they know the regeneration of the area will have a great impact on the city for those living here and create a great impression for those visiting.”

Compendium Living will create a new 30-acre neighbourhood of homes and businesses between Derby Midland Station and the city centre and will be bringing almost 800 new homes to Castleward, creating an attractive place to live for a wide range of people.

The new development will feature the house builder’s latest designs, many of which will be unveiled here for the very first time.

Dinah Stephenson, Fields Sales Manager, comments: “This project is breathing new life into the area and we are excited to be involved in creating a family-friendly neighbourhood and what will be a highly desirable place to live.

“Castleward will be a distinctive place to live and to reflect this we are bringing a brand new collection of homes to the area, which will be amongst Derby’s most sustainable and will benefit from a very high specification.

“We’re already gaining a lot of interest as these homes will be part of a new neighbourhood in an ideal location for the city centre, local amenities and public transport links.”

Compendium Living recently installed windows in the hoarding surrounding phase one of the development, allowing people to watch as the project takes shape.

The Castleward Project office is now open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
