A hat trick of awards recognition for Somerset PR agency Plum

The team at Plum Communications & PR are celebrating after being shortlisted for the third year running for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ PRide Awards, which recognise the very best communicators and campaigns in the South West of England.

The PR and marketing agency which specialises in the property and housing sectors, based in Somerset, is one of five finalists for the CIPR South West’s ‘Outstanding Small Consultancy’ award, which recognises the achievements, performance and excellent work of a small consultancy over the past three years. Plum, which offers a range of communications services to clients across the region including Spectrum Housing Group and Summerfield Developments, scooped the silver award last year while still only in its second year trading as a business.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the CIPR PRide awards, which will be held at The Bristol Hotel on 22nd November. The CIPR PRide Awards recognise the outstanding talents and achievements of public relations practitioners across the regions, and are the most prestigious and rigorous awards of their kind:

“The CIPR South West Pride Awards celebrate the very best in public relations from across our region” said Sarah Pinch, chair of CIPR South West.

“We were delighted to receive an increase in entries and they were all of an incredibly high standard. The entries highlighted the industry-leading work that is taking place and we should be proud of our colleagues in PR and communications. I offer my congratulations to all of those who have been shortlisted for an award; their success demonstrates their exemplary achievements in such a thriving profession”.

Speaking about Plum’s success in the shortlisting, Karen Morledge, Director of Plum, said:

“Being shortlisted again for the PRide awards for a third consecutive year is just fantastic news for us as an agency. I’m even more delighted that we have beaten off some stiff competition from other PR agencies throughout the South West to appear once again within the Outstanding Small Consultancy category, as well as being shortlisted for our Love Weston Winter Wonderland marketing and PR campaign that we delivered last year.

I’m very much looking forward to the awards event in November and continuing to expand and evolve the team here at Plum in the meantime; we’re set for a great second half of the year.”

The experienced and dedicated team at Plum offer a range of marketing and PR services to local businesses, including launches and events, strategy and creative campaigns, social media support, and copywriting for print and web. To find out more visit www.plum-communications.co.uk.
