TWL installs new technology at local primary school

Cardiff based TWL Voice and Data has installed a new telephone system at a Cowbridge-based primary school to improve the school’s external and internal communications.

Llansannor Church in Wales Primary School appointed TWL Voice and Data to update its current phone system and address communication challenges across the school’s two buildings.

Separated by a playground, the school’s nursery building didn’t have telephone access making cross site communications difficult.

TWL installed a Mitel 5000 telephone system and two WI-FI access points to allow the whole school the ability to communicate with one another seamlessly via a wireless connection.

As well as improving internal communications, the new system allows parents the ability to leave voicemails if their child is unable to attend school.

Paul Fisher of Llansannor Church in Wales Primary School, said: “From a health and safety point of view, efficient communication throughout the whole school is vital. Our old communications system was proving ineffective and inefficient as the nursery building were unable to contact the main building without contacting reception. TWL listened to our requirements and have installed a modern and efficient product which is already benefitting the school.”

Ian England, TWL’s business development manager said: “Llansannor Church in Wales Primary School provide an excellent standard of teaching in a positive environment. Having installed phone systems at over 50 schools across the South Wales area, we could see the restrictions they were experiencing and knew exactly the right solution for them. We’re pleased that Paul and his team are happy with the new installation and hope they continue to work with us on future contracts. “
