Private equity team at Foot Anstey advises on investment

The Private Equity team at Foot Anstey have advised one of the founders of Burts crisps, Jonty White, and his team on two rounds of EIS qualifying equity investment into the start-up venture Portlebay Popcorn.

Partner Matt Stoate led the Foot Anstey team which advised the Devon based food manufacturer to raise the necessary funds to acquire the specialist manufacturing and packaging equipment required for the launch and development of this exciting new brand. Since its creation last year, Portlebay Popcorn has grown into a leading brand in the gourmet popcorn industry and is now stocked by selected Tesco stores as well as numerous independent delis across the country. Its latest new product is Kracklecorn, a hand made, high fibre popcorn.
