‘Foodies’ delight in £10 meal deals as Nottingham BID announces ‘Food & Drink Fortnight’

‘Foodie’ visitors to Nottingham are set to lick their lips in anticipation and pat their pockets in delight as the Nottingham Business Improvement District announces an exciting new approach to its annual food and drink event.

2013’s gastronomic gathering will be a special promotional Food & Drink Fortnight – from 3rd to 17th August – where visitors will be encouraged to enjoy an excellent value £10 menu deal offered by Nottingham’s favourite city centre eateries.

The deals are already being put forward by the venues and are being collated for a specially-created brochure which will be widely distributed in and around the city. In it, there will be details on all the events and businesses taking part, together with exclusive features, interviews and recipes showcasing Nottingham’s superb food and drink expertise.

“Nottingham has hundreds of outstanding restaurants, bars and cafes, many of which people have either never experienced or don’t know about,” explains director of the Nottingham BID and general manager of the Park Plaza, Tom Waldron-Lynch. “The Food & Drink Fortnight will be a fantastic way of encouraging guests through the doors – getting them to try new places or enjoy their favourites, and the £10 price tag will be especially welcomed by food-lovers who enjoy eating out but are on a tight budget.”

There will also be incentives to encourage people to take advantage of more than one £10 menu deal. For example, customers buying two meal deals will be entered into a prize draw, and for those buying five deals or more, if they save and submit their receipts they will have the chance to win a premium set of prizes in an exclusive prize draw!

“The BID will be providing free parking in the city centre after 5pm each day and we’re also currently negotiating deals with public transport providers, so we’re expecting visitor numbers to be high,” adds Tom Waldron-Lynch.

“Nottingham has a wealth of top quality places to eat, with many creating superb dishes using fresh ingredients from local suppliers. The Food & Drink Fortnight will be an excellent way of highlighting the culinary delights of our city, enhancing the experience for visitors and creating repeat business for BID members taking part.”
