Property consultants Alder King, acting on behalf of Kings Heavy Haulage, have secured the speedy letting of part of the former Chep premises on Third Way, Avonmouth, which became available following Chep’s relocation to a purpose-built new facility at Central Park.
National plant and equipment hire specialist Hewden has signed a new 10 year lease on the property at a rent of £150,000 per annum.
The property provides Hewden with 22,082 sq ft of offices and production space in two buildings on a 2.2 acre site, providing a large secure yard area. Hewden plans to invest in the site to establish a large new regional depot.
Andrew Ridler, industrial agency partner at Alder King in Bristol, says: “Properties with large yard areas like this are a very scarce commodity and we always see strong interest when they come to the market. As a result we were able to secure this letting to Hewden very quickly.”
Kings Heavy Haulage, which is headquartered on the adjacent site, has expanded into the balance of the property, doubling the size of its depot.
