Eastwood Park marks 10 years independence and substantial growth

eparkA South Gloucestershire venue and training centre is celebrating 10 years independence and substantial business growth following a management buyout by the current leadership team. (Left to right) Chief Executive, John Thatcher, with Pauline Oliver, Finance Director and Lin Willis, Facilities and Procurement Director led the buyout of Eastwood Park in 2003 and since then revenue has increased by approaching 75% and the business undergone significant diversification.

Situated on an extensive 200 acre country estate in Falfield, near Thornbury, Eastwood Park Ltd continues to develop and deliver a vast range of technical training for engineers and estates teams in the NHS, private healthcare organisations and associated sectors – for which it has secured an enviable international reputation for the last 40+ years. It has also become a thriving social and business venue and offers distinctive office accommodation for businesses in the area.

The country house and countryside environment has provided the perfect setting to enable the team to build a reputation as a superb wedding venue, alongside a vast range of meeting facilities enjoyed by many businesses hosting conferences and business events in both the house and grounds. Coupled with accommodation and superb dining facilities, Eastwood Park’s repeat business for any event from a Christmas party to Sunday lunch, has seen a substantial increase during the last 12 months.

Chief Executive, John Thatcher commented: “We are incredibly fortunate to own such a versatile venue and the team has worked hard over the last ten years in a highly competitive environment to create and build a solid, sustainable business. It is a unique destination for many company events, including those who wish to escape for a business lunch with a difference at the increasingly popular “Pies & Puds” special on the first Tuesday of every month. In complete contrast we are renowned worldwide for our specialist training and unique facilities, which includes everything from a replica operating theatre to 3-storey training lift shaft. Few venues are able to offer the diversity of choice we offer and all on the doorstep of Bristol and Gloucester.”
