Bristol professionals challenged to get fit for charity Tryathlon

Commercial property agents Colliers International have thrown down the gauntlet to fellow Bristol professionals to join them in a Tryathlon challenge at Tockington House this summer.

Head of the Broad Quay office Tim Davies said Bristol professionals of all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities were invited to take part in the South West-based Tryathlon in July.

He said: “The event comprises a 400m swim, a 20km bike ride and 5km run. The emphasis is on the word Try. The Tryathlon promises to be the biggest and best fun-filled fitness event of the year.

“This event is especially aimed at the Bristol based professionals who spend most of their day sitting at their desks tapping away at a keyboard. Many of them have already forgotten their New Year’s resolutions and haven’t been back to the gym since January.

“It helps to be fit for work and fit for life. We are determined to make this a fun event though and people can share their training experiences on Twitter. We are hoping to open the TryAthlon to all city professionals from surveyors to surgeons – including colleagues from the commercial property sector.”

People can enter as individuals or in teams of three with all proceeds going to Colliers International’s chosen charity Cancer Research UK.
The event will be held on Thursday July 18 at Tockington Manor School. Individual entry is £35 with team entry £75.
