Wheels on the bus go round in Northampton

Having expanded its operations to The Minton Business Centre in Far Cotton, Northampton, Stagecoach has announced that it now plans to sell its former site in the town.

Commercial agents Prop-Search and Montagu Evans have subsequently been instructed to market the site on Rothersthorpe Avenue on a freehold basis.

The site comprises an 18,329 sq ft workshop/warehouse building, with two storey office/ancillary accommodation, on a site of approximately 1.05 acres. As the compound was previously used for the repair and maintenance of buses it features various commercial vehicle inspection pits, four loading doors and a secure surfaced yard area.

Richard Baker from Prop-Search in Northampton comments “The availability of Stagecoach’s existing site provides a rare opportunity for occupiers or developers to purchase a freehold site in Northampton. It is suitable for alternative uses, subject to planning.”

Stagecoach will relocate to the Minton Business Centre in March taking approximately 50,000 sq ft on three acres as its new bus garage.
