Caan brings ‘Butler’ business model to London property management

An innovative property management company inspired by the charm and reliability of traditional English butlering – and backed by former BBC Dragons’ Den star James Caan – throws open its doors at a Mayfair launch event on Thursday 18th April, 6.30pm.

The London Management Company – founded by Rupert Collingwood – will provide a fully tailored property and lifestyle management service for private clients, institutional investors and landlords which has been inspired by the attention to detail and a willingness to go beyond the call of duty that would be expected of an excellent English butler.

Mr Collingwood identified a need for development within the property management sector which has not changed its modus operandi for decades.

“London is a city with global appeal, attracting the successful and the wealthy; they demand a five star service and deserve nothing less. We are leading the way in providing this and we look forward to the challenge of managing London properties,” said Mr Collingwood. “The London Management Company will change the face of property management in London”.

The London Management Company has received investment from Hamilton Bradshaw Real Estate (HBRE); the property focused venture capital vehicle chaired by serial entrepreneurs James Caan and Faisal Butt.

This will be HBRE’s fourth venture capital investment in just 18 months, making them amongst the most active property start-up focused VC investors in London. The company’s other investments include 90 North in the investment management sector, Accouter Design in the interior design sector, and Ivy Gate in the residential agency sector – each an innovative disrupter within its space.

HBRE offers real estate entrepreneurs an institutional platform which enables them to develop their businesses in order to achieve maximum shareholder value and ultimately exit realisation.

The London Management Company will set itself apart from the hundreds of other property management concerns with a focus on real-time communication, five-star service, and innovative use of technology.

The company will offer all possible management requirements from fully managing a private house or flat through to block or tenancy management.

Tenants of properties managed by the London Management Company will soon be able to interact with landlords on a range of matters through a simple app, streamlining the way households manage mundane everyday chores. Social media will be used in fun and engaging ways to promote the brand and to engage with customers.

“Our backing of London Management Company is yet another example of our strategy of investing in ambitious, passionate individuals, enabling them to realize their vision of changing the status quo in the property sector”, said Faisal Butt, co-founder, investor, and Managing Partner of Hamilton Bradshaw Real Estate. “Rupert’s passion for delivering a quality service in property management is unparalleled, and I am excited to be supporting him in building a business that will change the face of property management in London”.

The London Management Company, in collaboration with HBRE, are hosting the launch of this new business on Thursday evening, 18th April, in a private location in the heart of Mayfair. An invite-only guest list consisting of 100 high net worth individuals, property landlords, and some of the most influential movers and shakers of the wealth management ecosystem are expected to be attending.
