Construction continues to gather pace at The Boulevard, the landmark commercial development bringing new employment space to the expanding township of Hampton, as key milestones are reached on site.
Delivered by Peveril Securities and Sladen Estates, the 8.2-acre scheme, found just three miles from Peterborough city centre, is set to bring together a Lidl food store alongside three industrial units designed to support the region’s emergence as a commercial destination.
Progress remains on track, with the roof structure on the Lidl store now in place and the panels well underway. The steel frameworks for the first two employment units are now complete, with construction on the final unit just commencing. Once complete, the development is set to deliver much-needed local employment opportunities and business growth, supporting several hundred new jobs.
Sophie May, associate director of development at Sladen Estates, said:
“The Boulevard continues to gain momentum, with this stage of construction marking a key milestone as the scheme emerges from the ground and visible progress is made on site.
“With units due for occupation in Q2 this year, the development will deliver high-quality, flexible employment space tailored to modern occupier needs. Each unit will include fully fitted first-floor offices with comfort cooling, double-height reception areas, strong amenity provision, secure service yards and level loading access.”
The employment units will offer flexible space options ranging from 27,150 sq ft to 64,300 sq ft and will be available for sale or to let.
“Strong enquiry levels are already being seen from both growing local businesses and national operators, with discussions ongoing ahead of completion,” Sophie added.
Within an hour’s drive of 2.93 million residents, The Boulevard presents a highly attractive proposition for occupiers seeking profile, connectivity and growth potential. The location provides direct access to Peterborough’s main road network and is surrounded by major retail and leisure brands, including McDonald’s, Tesco and M&S, as well as Serpentine Green Shopping Centre and Premier Fitness.
The scheme is a joint venture between Peveril Securities Limited and Sladen Estates Limited, whose partnership has a proven track record of delivering high-quality developments across the UK. Eddisons and M1 Agency have been appointed as agents for the scheme.
