Tim Rayner, a partner in Hill Dickinson’s real estate disputes team, has been appointed chair of the Midlands region of the Investment Property Forum (IPF).
He takes over from Skylark Real Estate’s Jonathan Devaney, who has stepped down after two years in the role.
Three new members have also been welcomed to the board: Hannah Badger, Richard Durkin and Paul Lloyd. Hannah is a director in the residential capital markets team at CBRE; Richard heads Lambert Smith Hampton’s Midlands capital markets team, while Paul is a real estate partner at Freeths.
Tim Rayner has been a board member for three years and takes the reins as the IPF, the membership organisation for property investment professionals, prepares to complete its merger with the Association of Real Estate Funds (AREF) and the British Property Federation (BPF), creating a new organisation to represent the interests of the UK real estate industry.
He said: “With the merger expected to take effect later this year we have exciting times ahead. In the meantime, the Midlands branch of the IPF will continue to provide our seminar and networking programme – including our sell-out annual dinner and lunch – for our 200+ members across the East and West Midlands.
“I’d like to thank Jonathan for steering the ship over the last couple of years and to welcome Hannah, Paul and Richard. I look forward to their contribution as we continue to champion the commercial property sector across the Midlands.”
