Cwmbran company set to double following move to Brecon House offices

A Cwmbran-based technology company plans to double in size over the next two years following its move to larger new offices on Llantarnam Park.

Unified communications specialist Siphon Networks has moved into 1,570 sq ft offices in Brecon House, the multi-tenant office complex in Cwmbran. The company has grown rapidly since it was formed in the Welsh Government-funded Springboard offices on Llantarnam Park four years ago and recently acquired a Newbury-based company to help its growth. Siphon has taken a five year lease at Brecon House, at a rental of £9.75 per sq ft and landlord Lear Investments was advised on the deal by the Cardiff office of Knight Frank.

Siphon Networks technical director Rob Smith said: “We simply outgrew our previous offices and Brecon House appealed to us because it is so handy for the motorway, and there would be no upheaval for our staff. It’s a step up for us, into an ideal facility.”

Mark Sutton associate at Knight Frank said: “Siphon snapped up the front office suite that had only recently become vacant and this demonstrates the demand for good quality office space at a sensible rent. Brecon House offers small, high growth companies and established businesses the opportunity to secure air conditioned office suites with excellent on site facilities and ample parking.

Henry Best of Jenkins Best added: “Brecon House continues to be a popular option for occupiers and there are opportunities available for businesses to secure self-contained accommodation from 1,200 sq ft to 4,500 sq ft.”

Existing tenant Recruitment Solutions Wales Limited also committed to a new lease at Brecon House. One of the longest standing tenants in the building, having moved there six years ago, the family-owned recruitment company has signed a four year lease on 1198 sq ft office suite.

Lee Powell, Operations Director at Recruitment Solutions said “Brecon House continues to be an ideal home for us. It is in a great location, the parking is a benefit, the building is nice and fresh and the free use of facilities such as the boardroom is extremely useful.”
