Thomas Carroll, independent insurance, risk, wealth management and insurtech company, has welcomed George Souroullas and Chris Howard to its Bristol team.
Their Bristol office at Aztec West opened just five months ago, and the team is already expanding.
Born and bred in Bristol, George Souroullas joins Thomas Carroll after spending almost 25 years at Marsh Commercial, where he worked as a trusted insurance broker with businesses across the South West of England.
Bath native Chris Howard has worked at Gallagher and most recently at James Hallam Brokers. Chris has worked in the insurance industry for circa 35 years and brings extensive industry knowledge to Thomas Carroll.
Speaking of his appointment as an Account Director at Thomas Carroll, George said: “Having spent so many years at Marsh, many thought I would be a lifer, but I was attracted to Thomas Carroll by its independence, its emphasis on relationships, as well as its recent transition to being an employee-owned business.
“I pride myself on the relationships I have built with clients, insurers and colleagues since I started my career. That ethos is in-built into Thomas Carroll, and so it was the perfect fit for me.”
Explaining his decision to join, Chris Howard said: “The fact that Thomas Carroll is now an employee-owned business was a great attraction for me to join the business. It’s a family business, which is proudly independent and keeps its clients and colleagues at the heart of everything it does.
“Trust and loyalty are key for the insurance broking business, and Thomas Carroll has that in spades – which was a great attraction for me.”
Scott Levett, Regional Director at the Bristol office, commented: “George and Chris are very well known and respected in the South West and we are very pleased that they are joining the Thomas Carroll team.
“We have already made major strides in bringing new business to the office in the five months since we have opened and to now be adding such high-profile broker names like George and Chris to the team, is a testament to the impact we have already made.”
