Eddisons expands South West and South Wales operation with senior regional hire

Richard Turton

Property consultant Eddisons has boosted its regional team across South West and South Wales with the appointment of a new director. Richard Turton joins the firm from chartered surveyors PMP in Bristol to head Eddisons’ building consultancy team across the region.

A chartered surveyor and UWE graduate, Richard brings 15 years’ commercial property experience to the new role. He is also an expert in the law around dilapidations and in the technical due diligence process, which mitigates risk for property buyers and investors.

Ian Harrington, national head of building consultancy, said: “Richard’s appointment is a strategic one and will bolster Eddisons’ presence in the region, increasing our market share in what is already a very successful area of the business. We are really pleased to welcome him to the team.”

Eddisons regional director for the South West and South Wales, David Chichester, added: “Richard is a highly motivated and experienced building surveyor and his appointment reflects our commitment to investing in high-calibre people.

“As regional head of building consultancy he will be responsible for handling our growing number of instructions and high-calibre clients across all of the core building surveying disciplines.”

The Eddisons 75-strong building consultancy team operates across the public and private sectors, acting for landlords, tenants, investors and developers, and with specialisms in the industrial, corporate, education, healthcare, leisure and retail sectors.

The firm’s Bristol office currently employs 22 people and there are plans for further hires in the coming months. Eddisons’ South West and South Wales region incorporates a further five offices in Cardiff, Bath, Cheltenham, Swindon and Exeter.

Eddisons continues to be one of the UK’s fastest growing property consultancies. The business has made 10 acquisitions in the last decade and employs more than 450 people across 30 UK offices.
