Devonshire Square (DSQ) has announced a series of new lease agreements at its recently redeveloped Building 7 and Building 9, welcoming four new occupiers across the technology, financial services and retail sectors. The deals total more than 35,000 sq ft of newly leased space.
Global fintech company IPC Systems will occupy 10,071 sq ft across an entire floor of Building 7, relocating its London office from Canary Wharf.
Onfido, a subsidiary of Entrust, will take 15,078 sq ft at Building 9. Onfido uses AI and biometric technology to help businesses verify customer identities.
An international investment management firm has also signed to take 10,018 sq ft on one floor of Building 7 for its London office.
London-based coffee brand, Story Coffee, has chosen DSQ for its first cafe outside of SW London. The brand will occupy a new ground floor retail unit at Building 7, enhancing the building’s amenity offering and supporting the wider DSQ estate’s role as both a workplace and leisure destination.
The additions mark further progress in DSQ’s strategy to attract a diverse mix of occupiers and amenity-driven retail.
It also follows a £40m investment into the recently completed redevelopment of Building 7, which is amongst the first refurbished office developments in London to be awarded both a NABERS 5* rating and BREEAM excellent. The building is currently 80% let or under offer.
Andy Booth, Director at Nuveen, asset manager of Devonshire Square, said: “These latest deals at DSQ are further evidence of the continued demand across industries for best-in-class, sustainable office space in the heart of the City. Our investment in Buildings 7 and 9 has focused on delivering sustainable workspace which is designed to accommodate hybrid working patterns and focus on employee wellbeing. This offers businesses and their employees a truly unique opportunity to benefit from exceptional location, a campus-style experience, interesting heritage design, a sustainable workplace, and a year-round programme of free events and experiences on the doorstep.
“It is especially rewarding for us to bring in new technology companies and support the rapid expansion of the sector in the City, with Building 9 now exclusively housing tech companies.”
These announcements follow news earlier this year that Railpen, Manpower UK, ICE Services and Bullhorn UK signed leases at Building 7, ensuring DSQ’s tenant roster continues to flourish.
The leasing agents for these deals were CBRE and Newmark BH2.
