Clowes Developments are pleased to announce that MKM Building Supplies has signed a lease for a brand-new 20,000 sq ft standalone unit at Viking Park, Congleton. The modern facility will operate as a builders’ merchant and features a spacious open-plan warehouse, trade counter, and ground floor office accommodation.
Marc Freeman, Director, Clowes Developments (UK) Ltd added:
“With the recent opening of roadside convenience and Aldi now fully operational at Viking Park, it’s fantastic to see the wider development coming together. Construction contractor Roe Developments have successfully delivered MKM’s new premises while simultaneously constructing units for Starbucks, Greggs, and KFC further along the site. We’re also pleased to confirm that a further 9,000 sq ft industrial unit has been let, with an occupier announcement to follow shortly.”
Agents Andrew Groves and Mark Sillitoe acted on behalf of Clowes Developments. Mark Sillitoe, Director at Williams Sillitoe, commented:
“It was a pleasure working with MKM and their agent on this deal. We’re thrilled to welcome yet another nationally recognised, high-profile occupier to Viking Way in Congleton. The scheme continues to go from strength to strength, and we’re already in discussions with further operators eager to secure space in Phase 2, which is currently under construction. Viking Way is undoubtedly establishing itself as a prime destination for industrial, trade, and logistics occupiers.”
Clowes Developments are pleased to announce the commencement of construction on Phase Two at Viking Park. Delivered in partnership with principal contractor Roe Developments, this phase will feature two high-quality, speculatively built units known as Viking F3 and G3 each comprising 12,220 sq ft.
Located adjacent to the new MKM, phase two has been designed with flexibility in mind, both units can be subdivided into three terraced units of approximately 4,000 sq ft, making them suitable for a variety of occupiers. Positioned in a prominent roadside location with direct access from the main route, these units offer excellent visibility and connectivity, ideal for businesses looking to enhance their presence and accessibility. Earthworks are already underway, with completion scheduled for Q4 2025. All units are available on an all-enquiries basis.
Elsewhere on the mixed-use scheme, residential developer Bloor Homes are progressing well with the construction of their homes.
On completion, Viking Park will deliver up to 175 homes, a 20,500sq ft supermarket/roadside convenience, as well as 36,800 sq ft office facilities and 219,500 sq ft of industrial units.
