Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana has announced it will fire up the pizza oven and open the doors of its brand-new Bristol restaurant at 12pm on Monday 28th July 2025, with bookings now open via Rudy’s website.
Located in the heart of Bristol’s city centre, the pizzeria breathes new life into the former Royal Bank of Scotland branch on Baldwin Street, which has stood vacant since 2021. The expansive 3,000 sq ft venue is ready to accommodate over 120 guests indoors, while its outdoor seating area has space for 35 more, perfect for enjoying sunny days al fresco like a true Neapolitan.
The opening marks Rudy’s first venture into the South West and its 34th restaurant to date, following the brand’s rapid growth and loyal following across the country for its authentic Neapolitan pizza, signature dips and classic Italian desserts.
Locals are encouraged to reserve a table ahead of the anticipated opening rush, where they’ll be able to enjoy Rudy’s signature pizzas, including the Magherita Con Bufala and Triple Pepperoni, alongside a regularly changing line up of monthly specials, launching with The Philomena, Fresca Primavera + Diego’s Diavola.
To celebrate its latest opening, the Rudy’s team will also be hosting a pre-opening charity night on Sunday 27th July at the new restaurant. Friends of the charity Young Bristol are invited for an evening of pizza, celebration and community spirit.
Bookings are now open via the following link – and as a thank you, each booking will receive a free sharing garlic bread pizza (when purchasing a minimum of two pizzas and two drinks). All proceeds from the evening, including money raised in the raffle taking place, will be donated to the chosen charity.
While renowned for its first-class pizzas, Rudy’s will provide the full Neapolitan experience through a well-stocked bar. Customers will be transported to the Italian sun whilst sipping on classics like Aperol and Hugo spritzers, or, for a Rudy’s twist, the Morello Cherry or Mandarino spritzers. Also on offer are ice-cold local lagers and a variety of soft drinks – including the iconic Rudy’s Homemade Lemonade.
Plus, fans with a sweet tooth can enjoy Rudy’s iconic Tiramisu, made fresh everyday – as well as a Panna Cotta Cheesecake topped with red berry compote & white chocolate shavings, plus its Double Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Gelato will be on offer.
Commenting on the new opening, Neal Bates of Rudy’s, said: “As one of the UK’s most welcoming and food loving cities, Bristol is the perfect next stop for Rudy’s and we can’t wait to open our doors next Monday! Whether you’ve visited a Rudy’s location before or are discovering us for the first time, we can’t wait to fire up the oven and say a big ciao to Bristol!”
Since launching in 2015 in Ancoats, Manchester, Rudy’s quickly gained a cult following for its authentic Neapolitan dough and quality ingredients.
Born out of passion for pizza, Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan tradition of pizza-making, serving classic recipes such as Marinara, Margherita and Calabrese – all originating from Naples, the birthplace of pizza. Rudy’s also pays homage to famous pizzerias around the globe with its rotating specials, bringing interesting and exciting flavour combinations to its fans.
Rudy’s dough is made fresh daily using Caputo ‘00’ flour which ferments for at least 24 hours, alongside the best quality ingredients from Naples, including San Marzano tomatoes grown on fields next to Mount Vesuvius, and fior di latte mozzarella.
In accordance with authentic Neapolitan techniques, the dough is cooked in a Stefano Ferrara oven for around 60 seconds – resulting in a soft and light pizza with an airy and raised cornicione (the edge or rim of the pizza).
Rudy’s Bristol will open on Monday 28th July at 36 Baldwin St, Bristol BS1 1NR, generating up to 35 jobs in the local area. To book a table, visit: https://www.rudyspizza.co.uk/location/bristol/.
