Unite Students to relocate its office headquarters to Bristol’s landmark Welcome Building®

Welcome Building®, an outstanding new workspace in Bristol, delivered in a joint venture between EPISO 5, a fund managed by Tristan Capital Partners, and Trammell Crow Company, has leased 22,000 sq ft to Unite Students.

Unite Students, which is the UK’s largest owner, manager and developer of purpose-built student accommodation will relocate its headquarters from its current office at South Quay House to the Welcome Building®.

Toby Pentecost, Senior Vice President and head of UK offices at Trammell Crow Company commented: “Having launched Welcome Building® earlier this year, we are delighted that Unite Students will join DAC Beachcroft, which leased floors 6 and 7 last year, as occupiers of our building. We think it speaks to the outstanding amenities and an exceptional experience at Welcome Building® as well as an environment that promotes wellbeing and minimises environmental impact.

James Brodie, Managing Director, at Tristan Capital Partners, added: “Welcome Building® is an exceptional development, which is already being recognised for excellence with nominations for several major industry awards. It delivers best-in-class workspace, market-defining ESG credentials and a range of modern amenities, all in a great location in Bristol City Centre.”

Karan Khanna, chief operating officer at Unite Students, added: “We want to create inspiring and productive places for our people to work. Welcome Building® is the perfect space for us to achieve that with all the high-quality amenities and facilities that our staff need. It will allow for greater collaboration among colleagues, promote community and wellbeing, and support our sustainability ambitions. We’re delighted that we’ll soon be able to call it home and can’t wait to move in.”

Welcome Building® provides 207,000 sq ft of best-in-class workplace, offering the largest available floorplates in the city, ranging from 22,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft, all open and reconfigurable to suit the changing patterns of working life.

A unique, amenity-rich street on the ground floor creates a hotel-style, vibrant hub to foster a collaborative business community, with a café bar, breakout space, meeting places, and an auditorium as well as specially commissioned public art.
